Love a desert recipe that is described as easy & no bake; to open with using a Double Boiler; as if that’s something every person looking at that kind of recipe has.

You could microwave - but not guaranteed to make the eggs safe. But that recipe omits that you need to gently temper the eggs so you don’t wind up making scrambled eggs in the sauce instead.
Still worth it. But to your point, my daughter and I bake a lot… and have no double boiler.
