I did notice there's still several asterisks. It's not available for all states, and it gets a bit spotty if you're doing much of anything beyond a run-of-the-mill 1040. Still, it's a huge step in the right direction.

Also! By law the tax filing services are required to offer a free version for most services. It may have changed with this new service, but they were required to offer a free version.

That was the agreement for no federal service.

Apparently this is a pilot, according to their website. So that's why they're not advertising it. Not yet anyway.
