Countries can't hide large changes to their currency baskets. We can see when trade is conducted via swaps rather than via the dollar. We know when demand for treasures decreases. De-dollarization is really more of a process. And it's visible.

Pushing the dollar off the cliff and losing its status as the largest global reserve currency is also far more likely to lead to a debt crisis than bog standard deficit spending... Though maybe that's contributing to this nonsense.
