2006; Love's Labour's Lost flopped so badly in 2000 that it lost him a three-picture deal with Miramax, and it's wild to see all the adaptations drop off then too
I went to a lecture about ten years ago where the speaker said that Shakespeare comes into vogue at the end of decades. That was amplified like tenfold with the end of the century and millennium in the 90’s.
