since Persona 5 Strikers and Dragon Quest Heroes both used MP I'm sure FF would too, so having a materia system that lets you choose your spells would make a lot of sense

I'm a doomer about Final Fantasy x Cool Thing because of how bad the FF monster hunter (Explorers) was

but a *good* FF warriors might actually dethrone HW:DE as the Best One

realistically I think the job system would be your upgrade tree

like your mage character upgrades their red mage tree and gets dualcast so now you can cast two spells in succession
