There’s a complicated story linking labor and migration, yes. But it’s worth mentioning that conservative parties worldwide have made an immigration policy of nuking any immigration policy. Conservatives have agency too!
This kind of poor-mouth pretense of speaking on behalf of the working class also begs the question of *why* the working classes are bearing the brunt of scarcity. If your society can't sustain its own labor force, maybe immigration isn't the source of the problem
