I’ve always thought Larry Doby got left behind. I’m sure being the SECOND black player in MLB, and the first in the American League wasn’t all that easy.

And then there’s Moses “Fleet” Walker. And his brother Wilber….the historical first black players in “white baseball”. They played for the Toledo Bluestockings of the American Association (then a major league) in 1884.
