Yes, and my overall point is that they should be watched and supported. Their continued success is good for the industry. And if one grows it creates interest in the others. While I don't watch them regularly, when I do watch them more often then not I like what I see
you're absolutely right. now i'm not positive about this so if i'm wrong i'm wrong, but i'm pretty sure i read that they can't simply buy tna because of antitrust concerns that were raised during the ufc/tko merger.
That if is doing a lot of heavy lifting in that sentence. AEW is too successful to fold anytime soon. It would take multiple finger pokes of doom levels of bad booking to push the audience that they've built away. If TNA can survive this long then AEW's future is secured.
Is that why there's a WWE show/program every day of the week? So the industry thrives? Or to monopolize everything for themselves. Most people don't have time to watch every AEW, NJPW, ROH, CMLL show each & every week. There is limited time and money to be spent on wrestling, and TKO wants it all.
WWE has three shows a week because the roster size and audience demand. Yet each show has its audience and style. Sure no one has the time to be watch every show every day. But the wrestling ecosystem is healthy enough to support them all, plus local Independent wrestling companies.
Arguing that a company trying to create a monopoly is actually good for all the other companies in that industry is one of the most incredibly asinine takes I have ever heard.

Supporting WWE/TKO is like supporting R. Kelly 'cause it's good for the industry & gets other musicians to make better songs. As long as R. Kelly isn't peeing on/abusing minors in his videos or songs, then no harm, no foul, right? His product is "good" & "in demand" so ignore all that other shit!
WWE is flooding the market with more than 3 shows per week. Isn't there also Speed, Main Event, Evolve, LFG, Legends on A&E, SNME, etc.? They don't want you to watch anything but their shit.
NXT was designed to kill the indies like ROH, PWG, etc. Stop lying to us, and more importantly to yourself.
Novelty can be a factor attracting eyeballs for a time. Something new taking a small percentage away from AEW at a wrong time can be damaging. Straw, camel.
Fortunately AEW is stabilising and getting stronger. Not vulnerable like at times last year.
