TL;DR:

✅ It takes years to qualify for benefits.

✅ Many foreign-born claimants are working.

✅ Asylum seekers get no benefits.

✅ Immigration has always been part of the UK.

I try and remind Brits in the UK that we have 300,000 Brits living in Spain. Some can claim benefits here too but as in the Uk, they need to have lived here for at least 5 years before they can claim. They normally approve benefits for the elderly. The rules here are pretty strict too.
