When I read complaints about CP by leftists, what comes to mind is "some people have never heard of a Pareto Optimum, or had to do political horse-trading to get a 'win' for an initiative".

One complaint that I somewhat get is that NJT trains are over capacity. I saw this first hand when I traveled to New York and had to stand in an aisle on a 12 multilevel car train.
These are longer-distance trains, with full seating, not sub-way style with straps and limited seating?
I don't think many people like crowded trains, but given budgets it's hard to run enough at rush hour to prevent it, given needs for more cars and (maybe harder) more drivers, for 2 hour blocks.

It was on the weekend, but there had been a delay

I believe the main thing preventing higher capacity is the bottlenecks around and with NY Penn
