This hews too close to “Bernie would have won” for my tastes but I see it as distinct in that it’s probably not going to read as iconoclastic or leftish as he does.

Bernie ran on a strong, popular message (which is why he enjoyed so much support) but ran a shitty one-note campaign (which is why he wasn’t able to grow it). I firmly believe that local candidates running on a similar message but a more carefully organized strategy could do very very well.
I tried to go to my local Democrat office to volunteer for Bernie. He was completely locked out of the party. If you didn't support Hillary, you weren't allowed in their tent.
Bernie Won but electors still voted Hillary in my state and in NV
I don’t think we can expect a better world so long as we don’t imprison those who would destroy the country for personal gain. And frankly, I sometimes worry it is too late
As John Lewis said: "Do not get lost in a sea of despair. Be hopeful, be optimistic. Our struggle is not the struggle of a day, a week, a month, or a year, it is the struggle of a lifetime. Never, ever be afraid to make some noise and get in good trouble, necessary trouble."
"Speak up, speak out, get in the way,
Speak truth to power. Don’t turn away.
Whether up on a stage, or in a little bubble,
Don’t go pickin' fights, but get in good trouble."
That one issue leaves a gaping open wound in the myth that "Noone is Above the Law."
You or I would be serving in our 4th year in prison if we committed the exact same crimes
We need the wonkishness. People need to pay attention to who they are voting for. The age of electing people that have a policy desert between their ears is over if Trump doesn't destroy America outright before he takes a dirt nap
The model I want them to use is Tim Walz in his debate casually bringing up that housing is expensive because corporations turned it into a commodity. He was clear and he was mad.
It's something mainstream dems can do and be rewarded for
Stop running away from Bernie and his messaging. It’s that fear of vociferously defending what he stands for that constantly gives us candidates who, well, aren’t gruff!
This is interesting. I've often wondered if he would be seen by right-wing people (who can get over the "democrats will kill you dog" propaganda lies) as one of the few who might actually do something for regular people.
Considering he’s not a Democrat, that helps him tremendously among disaffected voters. He reportedly had strong support among Obama to Trump voters in 2016.
Reagan created this give billionaires tax cuts and it will "trickle down" like piss on the poor's head
Reagan was the disaster that has made and kept on giving these crashes and billionaire bailouts possible since 81
And he had Alzheimer's his 2nd term, like Trump shows signs of this last few years

Didn't have to read about it in a history book
Refine a new simple message that takes back some of the language from our founders that has lost its meaning; freedom, liberty, patriotism
The pitch should sound the exact same for every audience (left, right, center)
Invade and coopt right wing media with message on repeat
