Good morning and happy Monday to everyone. I looked this up: An obituary includes the deceased's name, age, date of death, and cause of death. Next comes anecdotes that celebrate their life. The end includes who they are survived by. Just sayin’.

Most obits don't mention cause of death unless it's something like "After a long battle with cancer . . ." Since people pay newspapers to print them, they say anything the survivors want. I wrote both of my parents' obituaries. Both succumbed to heart disease, but I didn't include that.
For all I care he could ride off into the sunset on a mangy camel to the glorious music from Lawrence of Arabia and never, ever be heard from again. Ever.
