I was there and saw this the day the kid started it. We went above the falls to the old growth forest, and it was so amazing. Those huge trees smelled so fresh and clean. On the way out, I looked in the rear view and saw that plume.

In 2016 I hiked into the canyon at 1:00 AM. There were surprisingly no crowds at that time.
I brought my tripod, set up a bunch of headlamps pointed in different directions, waded out while the timer on my Canon counted down and took this long exposure.
Unsure if worth it but exciting nonetheless. 🤣
