To this day, there’s a gaping hole in the lore of my sci-fi galaxy between the Second and Fourth Wars of Seven Suns that no amount of brainstorming will ever be able to fill, all because I didn’t write down my idle thoughts at work one night.
Gah! I do this and then I'll remember the idea days later and start gaslighting myself into believing it was someone else's idea that I cryptomnesia'd.
I forgot about my other secret weapon: a pen with an LED in the tip. Eliminates one extra step: turning on the lights. (Can you tell I have ADHD and a fear of being distracted and losing a great idea at any moment?)
way too relatable, i had like several good ideas that weren't written down for that reason. in come the morning and evening where i try to write it down, i suddenly forgot. pain
All my good ideas are spread around on different notepad files strewn about my PC in random folders, my desktop, and hidden among lots of other notes on my phone. Now it's just a matter of finding them, putting them together, and making sense of the incoherent mess. 🙃
Omg ahaha I can't do that tbh, I need to get up and write, though I usually just let my mind forget stuff because I think "of I thought of this, I'm able to think of something better when I'm not tired"

And I always forget
A risk we all regret in the morning.
For some reason it's just nightmare fuel each time.
