There’s no “correcting for race” Black women have a much higher maternal mortality rate than any other demographic. Ignoring it won’t make it go away. We need to fix it.

I don't think he even knows how bad it is to say, or think that. He may well have thought it 10 years ago, but i doubt he would have said it. Trump normalises de-humanisation.
