Both books talk about the evolution of armor.
"Armourers" is a bit more focused on armour making, armourer families and their history. "How to read European Armor" will be more useful if you want to learn about armor fashion and the more technical details about them and how they worked

I also want to add: if you want to expand your knowledge, go deeper and add more to your library from here, you can check the bibliography at the end of these books, because they have a lot of interesting and useful stuff.
