Town centre shopping centres have had their day. There's more than enough retail space on North End. Ironically it needs to revert to being a school, to service the thousands of apartments popping up everywhere.
The whole of Croydon has been in a managed decline so it can be reaped by developers. The Fairfield Halls is in their sights. Trying to get a listing so they can't knock it down and build yet more flats
Have to say it shocked me when they bulldozed Taberner House. It's pretty mad that all these homes are appearing with no new medical or educational facilities to support them. But totally unsurprising of that borough.
