I've been on the waiting list now since May 2024 for day surgery for a small lump, since then I've seen my consultant again a few months ago and now it's going to be full surgery as the lump has grown so much.

God knows what will happen over the next few months as this lump keeps on growing.

As patients find themselves discharged from their Consultants waiting lists ( who had ops in 2023/4 same weight now as then) OH Now too obese to qualify for treatment (they’ve been waiting for) The waiting list stats look gr8 they’re falling. More will go to A&E at deaths door after new events

Just getting what they are due. The nhs needs to up it's resources, not pander to the parasitic private sector that streeting gladly takes funding from. The nhs is more than treating patients, they are settings for research and education, something the private sector rarely does.

They can bring down waiting lists but won't bring any help in tackling staffing constraints, it will not, specifically, it will not tackle the critical shortage of clinical placements needed for the expansion on medical schools. That's terrible. I wasn't aware that it was that bad. Aberdeen Infirmary A&E is chronically understaffed & busy, and my colleagues & I sometimes feel like zombies, but I don't recall people dying here.

The problem is, it only becomes a very serious issue when it's you, your children, a elderly parent,someone you care about, that's sat there watching your loved one in pain suddenly finding out just how broken the system is. Untill then these numbers are just to unimaginable to comprehend.
