UK Civil Service told to slash running costs by 15%, £2bn.
What would that be - cuts in airport safety, minimum wage inspections, health and safety, child welfare, flood defences, river cleanliness, benefit assessment?
Policy on the hoof pays no attention to human cost.

THE LABOUR CABINET ?
I also assume the restaurants & bars in parliament are no longer subsidised
But of course, let's pander to the media and continue the "lazy civil servants" need to do more for less narrative. Cutting policy advice and HR, what can could possibly go wrong
Office cost is likely not as high as it was, but may be a more logical place to save. Thinking for example, about energy costs as well.
You can forget rejoining
Enter the private sector…
£323 a day for turning up to snooze and enjoy subsidised food and drink. Do the Lords each get an annual work evaluation?
No disrespect Lord Sika! I’m sure your evaluation would be positive.
That cannot be a coincidence.
Idea: How about eliminating the need for Brexit red tape…?! #RejoinEU
the practical implications for the public are frightening, & the human impact on workers is huge too- at a time when we need support, engagement, creativity, good will, vision for new ways of doing things-- cuts have entirely the opposite effect. It's oppressive, stifling, & demoralising.
You cant cut your way out of this.
We need another £40 billion a year to improve services & lives of everyone to where they should be.
Should we,
A) rejoin the customs union
B) raise income tax by 5p.
It's that simple.
Select any 2 from the list.
Better value svs contracts (not legacy Tory cronie) will cut hugely from budgets.
They promised they wouldn’t in exchange for a LOT of bribes.
It’s OK to break promises to everyone else, but not their precious Billionaires.
Oh and close parliament bars, sell off the wine collection while you're cutting cost.
Go on, I dare you.
(Spoiler: No)
They’ve always got plenty of cash for hurting people. Of killing them.

Is there a reason that we don't have enough Tax Inspectors to go after major tax evaders?
Perhaps the same reason we have only 1/3 the number of minimum wage ispectors recommended by the ILO?
Tax the rich ffs! And if the RW press don't like it? Tough.
Guessing he likes "beautiful girls, very beautiful girls and some of them are on the younger side too".
