Email fee by word count is ok with me. I need someone to stop my colleague who writes 1000 words when 10 are necessary.

Not a bad idea. Commercial emails should cost money the same way they had to pay for stamps and flyers.

Gmails’ unlimited inbox really made every company and organization rather bold in their approach to communications. I don’t need a daily email from a company I bought socks for once two years ago

It’s not unlimited. They start charging after a certain point. And yes, that caused me to belatedly become serious about cleaning up my inbox all with all the spam email.

Bill Gates proposed a $0.02 tax on all emails as a way to prevent SPAM, years ago.

I am guessing it would be a big improvement, but with inflation, let's make it $0.10
