I decided this semester for the first time to create just one long running Google slide deck for the semester for each of my classes. For one class we are ending the term with 562 slides and the other 512. I feel like that's a lot of slides.

Good question. It was easier to just have one link to not have to upload a bunch of powerpoints on D2L. I also don't always finish a day so I didn't have to bounce between ppts. It also let me (and students, sometimes they edit slides to add material) change things more easily.
Each section (class day or sometimes week) had a title slide, so it was still divided up for students. Also easier to bounce back in slides to earlier concept. I should ask my students Thursday what they thought.
My brain goes "that's a lot" but I also use one slidedeck per week with my 2 high school classes (2 periods are the same, so I back/fed again, then advance to period 6 slides) and at least one week a month I have 100+ slides on a deck.
