The luxury tax solution extenuates the problem bc big money clubs don’t care and small market clubs are incentivized to not spend bc they’ll still make a profit off of revenue sharing.

So if not a salary cap/floor, then what?

That argument from Sheehan about the NFL and its short season is an old one and rings completely false. The fact is, it IS quite a simple matter for a bad NFL team to become a competitive one in one off-season. There are no teams whose fans feel hopeless, as are all over MLB.

No it's a pretty basic matter of sample size in the schedule. How fans "feel"is an entirely different discussion and one that doesn't interest me.

It's the only thing that matters. Fans pay everyone's salary and are what sports are for.
