We were the bad guys. I refuse to whitewash history just to make myself feel better. When we don't learn from history we repeat it. We do ourselves a disservice by denying who and what we are.

Whitewashing history is happening, and ignoring that we do it is denying them their heritage. You honor people by giving them an equal seat at the table. We have kept everyone else from sitting with us.
