... struggle to focus so usually doom scroll or play stupid games.
This year, I am working to increase my confidence and boundary setting/maintaining, and would like to learn at least 2 new knitting skills - maybe beading, brioche or double knitting? Any recommendations 🧶 3/3

Two goals this year. Learn to steel and learn brioche. I try to go for projects that expand my skills in stitches or construction. Agree with all your reasons for switching SM. I find this friendlier & less toxic in the few days since I’ve joined. Maybe good for both our nervous systems? Welcome.

“Steeling” is an autocorrect bomb that I fixed 4 xs b4 hitting send. 😖 It would only let me text steeling or “steaking” which grammatically makes zero sense. So, it’s the technique when you knit a sweater with color work in the round and then cut it up the middle of the front to make a cardigan

Oh yes, I did wonder if it was an autocorrect. Steeking terrifies me! But knitting in the round is so much better than flat, so I can see the appeal. Do you do much colourwork?
