Simply put the American People through the power of consensus can change the law as they see fit. The issue is that the current political power in Washington avoids this fact like it's the plague. If enough people in enough States were to vote to recall the POTUS, it would be the law.

Laws don't come from votes. They come from legislative changes in House and Senate and even Supreme Court decisions. Guess who controls all of those now?

You're right. Laws don't come from votes. Ballot initiatives come from voters. Ballots can come from anybody in any state. Enough votes can get initiatives of every sort onto a ballot. It is not necessary to wait for an election. States can have special elections as they see fit.

I also agree about midterms. But, I think the way to see where things are really at is through ballot initiatives. See what people are really thinking. A recall initiative across the country against the POTUS, Senators and Representatives from both parties could shake the foundations of Washington.

They have the right. But they have to clear the hurdles of all levels of government involved in any new legislation.
Now, tell us which party controls those "all levels of government".
Stop dreaming... start organizing to change those levels during the Mid Terms.

I am not dreaming. My focus is serious. My ideas are designed to create feedback and generate better ideas. The issue for me is that I am 70 years old and disabled. I fear Trump and ilk are going to take my Social Security at any moment. Waiting for the midterms is not an option.
