There is a significant difference between “hard nosed hockey” and out and out mayhem. The problem as always is in the leagues control but they do nothing to help themselves. Like how can a casual fan understand what a penalty even is when hardcore fans can’t?

I think it’s fairly obvious refs have their favourites. If it had been the other way around, you KNOW it would have been a penalty. We had a former NHL coach tell us refs are biased. These playoffs are perfect indicator.
