Unrealistic to ask players whose avg career is 3 years to play “not to win”. Everything they do is on tape for all the NFL (and media) to view and critique. Good plays can mean jobs, bad plays can mean unemployment. Also, yes you said it then, and a few times since. It’s done. Leave it.

No one is asking them to not try, of course. You can manipulate it by who you play, what you call, and your strategic approach. Has nothing to do with players’ effort. That’s really obvious.

Just said the same to my wife. Frustrating, a great haul, basically another first round pick this year because it’s so early in round 2, and a 1 next year, and the Pats would have still got the best LT in the draft this year.
