Lettuce starts (indoors) here in 3a/3b in northern Minnesota. No artificial lights. Sand is to deter those pesky fungus gnats! I got too excited and started digging in my garden today...hit ice! I raked the top few inches of soil and sprinkled my lettuce seeds anyway. Hoping they germinate!
