One of my first jobs as an adult was working the graveyard shift at a video store called ‘Movie Buffs’ - I wore down the belt on my vhs machine from watching movies damn near 24/7. I had tons of weirdo art movies, bootleg Jet Li kung fu and would swap tapes through mail. Absolutely magical.

When I was younger I watched movies constantly. I'd come home from school and throw on a movie. Bumming around with friends? Throw on a movie. In college I'd sit on the floor in my apartment and draw or paint for hours and hours, just putting on one movie after another in the background.
