‘Returning the street to a place that supports a diversity of functions is vital if we are to move away from car dependency and its numerous negative social and environmental impacts. Children and their play could and should be a central part of this reimagining.’
Thank you & @alisonstenning.bsky.social for this - really excellent & timely. Great contribution to urgently needed debate. Hope the key policy makers in health, transport & housing read it & are influenced
yes, you're right- it was- Sorry, I shouldn't have started on here late last night🤪 got a bit more onto it today. Feels hopeful that this is a positive forum? Is there a verb equivalent to 'to tweet'?
Pity that the obvious abbreviation is BS...🤔
I am 😊. Have written about addressing access frictions between disabled people in 'new' AT infra like bus stop bypasses through collective access making.
Thanks unfortunately I won’t be able to make it but have been meaning to come to one of these events for many years so will have to keep an eye out for the next one!
We’re not sure it’s the best time for others either…what’s your favourite day? Oh, I mean for an event though you could also share your favourite day in general. (I think mine is a Thursday)
I do like Thursdays! But in terms of events, I guess I think alternating days are better. Less easy to communicate but it means that different folk with varying commitments can make different months.
Maybe next time! Which will likely be the March International Women’s Day event although I’ll be running a silent coaching session online before then. I’ve shared yours and Alison’s paper with our Urbanistas NE WhatsApp group. Good to connect with you here.

I think people do use "skeet" but others (including me!) are just using post.
