I do know there's more to it in DS3, but since I have yet to finish DS2 I'm holding myself back from checking wikis until I get there! I loved everything about ER and Bloodborne lore, so I can't wait to put my grabby hands on that c:

If you're finishing DS2 before 3, you're stronger than I am. XD I did 3 first. Bloodborne has such an amazing lore, I got so lost in it and did a massive deep dive into it. I love the way Fromsoft keeps you guessing and makes you research. And the community unearthes things you could never imagine.

Oh, it's a lot of trial and error, still! I think it's a wonderful software that throws too many tools at you at once and I found it best to disable/enable certain toggles as I work or else it's too much. c:

Thank you! It’s a wide topic, but I love yapping about it. I always say to check what each toggle does separately (like dirty brush, multicolor brush, paint mixing, paper texture) and uncheck/tweak it if you don’t need it, because this software throws a lot of things that you and when used together

they seem like it’s…too much. For example, I rarely use the dirty brush and I often turn off the paper texture or it looks too artificial. For watercolour, I pause the water spread and only use it at will. I also find that working in higher res helps with details because the brushes are so chunky c:

I tend to use primarily oils, so the tips above referred mostly to them! I’ve seen people make wonderful pieces with watercolour, but I haven’t been able to fully grasp how to make them behave - I mostly use gouache for when I need a slightly smoother finish.
