Mario Land 2 was amazing. I didn’t get into Zelda until later but that just meant I got the deluxe version of Link’s awakening.

As a 12 year old, it was Ren and Stimpy. It's so crazy to think about how much I enjoyed just getting to hear the theme song in any form I could back in the day. I enjoyed the version from Space Cadet better.

The ability to hear pretty much any song we wanted at any time is so underappreciated.

I think Zelda's the obvious choice, but SML2 is pretty good as well. However I might ask my parents to loan me an extra $10 to get the Game Genie.

I think it was a fair price back then. I'm pretty certain I got my copy of Link's Awakening for less than $20 from the JC Penney catalog on clearance. I want to say I ordered it by phone but picked it up in store?
