The book is an odd one seeing as @stevenc63.bsky.social suggested we’re not expecting Peter Jackson’s work on Anthology to be released until after the Sam Mendes films?

To misquote The Rutles - people have been grabbing the wrong end of the stick and hitting each other about with it. We are not getting a remixed / mastered Anthology TV series / albums this year.

I feel the albums are redundant and the 1st one a rotten concept quickly dropped

Fully agree, Dave. Remastering/updating the TV series is a big job. Always unlikely it could be ready this year.
The albums pose a problem in that, iirc, the recent boxsets avoided any duplication, so the Anthology LPs are the only way to own those tracks. They need a conceptual overhaul in any case

Yes I'd overhaul them - ditch all the interview clips that aren't Morecambe & Wise. I'm not a fan of the Frankenstein edits of various takes to show an evolution but that's just me

It seems more likely than not that they're going to put a remastered Anthology doc on Disney+ at the same time, doesn't it? Keeps the pipeline of Beatles material going for them without a great deal of effort.

I’m half annoyed cause I’d just gotten a second hand of the original hardback this past Christmas! Very excited if this along with Bird and Real getting the separation treatment means an Anthology 30th remaster is in the works.
