Looking on the Medicare site I read that it was enacted for Covid and set to expire end of March 2025. There were exceptions to this if you live in a rural area, and a few other exceptions. Congress could extend it but it seems a certain party is too busy destroying democracy to notice.

My mom is now wheelchair bound and i can’t get her in my vehicle to drive the 45 miles to see her neurologist. A transport has to be ordered and the cost of that trip will be well over $400. That’s what it cost to get her back from a hospital stay that was only 15 miles away… talk about waste!

This sucks for all. Because private insurance follows what Medicare does. And now disabled people, even those who have private insurance, might not get telehealth either. It’s a way to discourage people to seek care. If they don’t go to an appointment, it won’t need to be covered.
