My stories, my literary children, will outlive me for sure—they're my personal magic, the spell I'm casting into the world to conjure a better one. One we can survive.
I call them my flock of chickens (a dicey metaphor in the time of H5N1 😬).
Part of why I'm writing them is so they will exist in 2050, 2060, 2070.
