Anyone else count their reps in a variety of ways to trick yourself while lifting? One set, I’ll count up for half my reps then count back down. Next set I’ll count off by twos or threes. It’s very dumb but my idiot baby brain goes for it.

If I’m doing something where I need to hold it for three seconds, I’ll start with one, count the hold, then the next rep start with four.
It’s silly but it works for me.
