The genre of 'Dark Academia' bums me out -- not cause it's bad or anything, but because it feels like the funeral dirge of a certain form of thriving.

Like, how sad is it that a book about getting a serious liberal arts education and wearing old clothes is now shelved in the Fantasy section?
