We saw the new one yesterday. Kids liked it ok, but it is... quite bad. Uninspired story, totally forgettable songs. Disney is just riding the IP :(

Interesting. Before Moana, Frozen was my favourite Disney film (with Tangled a very close second) and I hated the sequel. I've never felt Moana needed a sequel so haven't been particularly keen to watch it.

Apparently Moana 2 broke all sorts of $$ records https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/movies/movie-news/moana-2-box-office-records-broken-1236074175/ - so Disney knows its audience. Wondering if the folks who made it (who I imagine have good taste!) are proud of the film.
