So sorry to hear that π Hope you'll feel better soon. Difficult and weird times we live in. Remember, after the storm, the sun always comes out. Things will get better, don't give up. You're not alone. Take a break, try to take care of yourself as much as you can. We will wait πͺπΌπ€π
I will do my best, promise (I know, doesn't sound like much and usually it's never enough, that's another side of the story). Thank you for your message π€
I think a lot of us are trying to figure out a way forward. A break is a good thing, inspirational even. I know for me, posting stuff feels frivolous given the political climate and all. But I've also used it as an escape. Take the time you need for whatever you need!
Thank you. Will do. I can't do much else anyway since the simple act of picking up the camera makes me feel sick these days.
But I agree with the escape part. We all need breaks, so hold on tight to yours!
Thank you. I am not exactly ok, it's a bit of a negative phase. I agree, a break or a change of perspective may help. If only I knew how to change perspective.
When I am feeling stuck or trapped I practice imagining that I am in a room. I need to leave but I have to be in this room. I go out a door and come back in a window. Sometimes the room is very dark.
The doors and windows are boarded over using splintery rotting wood and rusty nails. Yet, I still need to get out, but I live in the room, I canβt leave and never come back. I will squeeze out between boards and slide back in through the key hole.
Sometimes I have to make myself small in order to gain the perspective of leaving and entering the room and looking at its interior from another perspective. Sometimes more flexible is what Iβve become.
The world is not a kind or fun or positive place right now. Itβs uneasy for some, and terribly sad and truly frightening for others. It may not make sense to others why I do what I do, but itβs self soothing β finding peace, body autonomy, owning myself, a distracting focus in a time of chaos β¦
