I love all stone sizes but this one was so fun to make! Definitely the largest stone I’ve ever set. I took it off of my Etsy and didn’t know how to edited it correctly 😘

What about a bolo? Something that is easy to display at shows, that will draw people in.... might take ages to sell, but would catch a lot of people's interest in the meantime?

I actually didn't know what a bolo was (I just googled it), I'm in the UK and it's not really something we wear here but I don't have to limit my sales to this country - and this is a good reminder for me for that. Thank you!

I grabbed a tape measure to get a better idea of how tat would look and it’d be cool but not something I’d wear often. Something will come to you! If people still wore sash. Belts it would be great for a buckle. It reminds me of some mother of pearl belt buckles that my grandma had.

I actually go with eye stopping very unique settings for big pieces. Often multiple pieces to make one big necklace or pendant. So you could have graduating stones off each side - a whole necklace, not just a pendant.

If you look in fashion magazines there are women who wear major rocks all the time. I make one or two “eye stoppers” a year, knowing it may take several years for them to find the right buyer. The last one that sold, was favorited on Etsy by the buyer for about 3 years while she saved the money ;)

The largest I go is about 60mm but those will be solid metal so I don’t think as heavy. @joincrystalcoven.bsky.social has made some beautiful larger pieces with crystals

I had a friend in FB who made rings from giant stones. Super simple setting and shank. Let the stone be the star. I did one decades ago. Big chunk of amber. Gets a lot of attention. LOL
