You're so right, Lyndsey. At one time I never gave the RF much thought, but more recently I can't abide the photo ops at food banks etc. All those castles, all that income from us and as private landlords is utterly sickening...

I always thought they brought loads of money in through tourism so didn’t think much about them myself, but apparently they don’t at all. In fact they’re a massive drainage of the UKs money. It’s time they departed. They’ve had a good run/swindle

While I totally agree with you, it could be worse. At least our head of state doesn't have any actual power to wreak havoc on the country or the rest of the world. I suppose we learned our lesson well hundreds of years ago. That said, the money we pay to keep them could be put to better use.

I think we’re about to see the final generation that respects them, dead and buried. People aren’t arsed about tradition when they can’t afford the basics. And all the pomp is ridiculous. There an expense that gains no benefit.
