Legitimate question: Why do YOU think that we as a society aren't rapidly moving towards a solution for climate change? Is it just greed? Do people not think it's serious? Do they think it's fake? Why aren't we moving when we've been told time and time again by professionals that this is serious?

As with ALL social, ecological, economic, etc. injustices under Capitalism, change has only come when either more money can be made doing things the "good" way or when The People make it unprofitable/deadly for Capital to opperate in the old way. Or when they overthrow the system itself, of course.

This is why we observe boycotts, this is why we sabotage arms factories, this is why we call for sanctions. Capital has no heart, has no face with which to feign kindness. It cares about a line going up & that alone & so it is that which must be kept in mind during all forms of struggle.

And we've been fed propaganda that has convinced people we need to individually combat climate change with what is essentially end-of-the-chain harm reduction instead of corporations denting their profits to simply not create the problems in the first place.

If you spent your whole life reducing reusing and recycling, minimizing waste, using transit or biking or carpooling, turning off the lights, unplugging your appliances, reducing meat intake, etc etc and see the world still going completely to shit, it's easy to feel disempowered!

But they've isolated us like that and passed the blame to us on purpose. We can still do that stuff, but the focus of our energy should be on coming together and applying pressure to industries and governments.

We like to allow ourselves to believe it’s some kind of innate human flaws that prevent so much progress or cause so many problems. But we never want to look towards the systems we reinforced that fundamentally lead to the outcomes we see today. They are almost a necessary result of capitalism
