Echoing Kathleen here. Thanks for posting it. For my niece in particular, but to be clear this applies whether or not we have close trans friends or relatives. Right is right (not intended as a criticism).

I have transgender colleagues, close friends with transgender kids. My kids have transgender friends. I don't want any of them to feel like I didn't speak up, so for what it's worth: Attacks on transgender people are attacks on us all. Everyone must protect people's right to live who they are
