This is the strongest takeaway from the election for me.
The pandemic was/is a horror, but for a brief period this country tried to take care of its people. Then we stopped.
For a lot of people, the world got materially worse in the past two years. Why wouldn't they want something else?

Inflation rose everywhere in the world due to this.
How's that Democratic party fault?
How's that an excuse to vote for a man with no principles whatsoever, a conman, that promises to take away your rights?
There's no excuse.
I mean I know it isn't a sustainable approach longterm, but can't help thinking how both directly harmful & politically stupid that is 😩 like, who exactly was he expecting would hold Rs and centrist Ds accountable if they didn't agree to fund everyone in need of resources.
When something bad happens during a president's term, he gets the blame. (Even if he didn't do it.)
They only know - things started to suck while this guy was in charge.
Also, the leader of the Democratic party declared the pandemic over, which triggered the end of many programs.
Why Dems haven't spent every day since in spitting mad unified talking points on the child tax credit, I'll never understand.
It erased over half of child poverty in < 2 years.
Knock on effects if done over time we'll never realize. Edu stability, DV down, health improves and $ savings, so much more.
