If you're up to hear the rambling of an oldge man (me) I definitely recommend Platinum/Gen 4 in general or Emerald. They were my absolute favourites on the older consoles, with Fire Red close behind! Very solid entries, especially Emerald IMO, if you're getting into the series! - ThreadSky

ohh thank you! I really would like to play gen 4 but there is the switch remake and now i am not sure if i should buy soul silver (or another DS Pokemon game) and after it play gen 4 on switch, yk?

Absolutely! I personally prefer the pixel sprites of DS Gen 4, but that's my personal liking and the remakes are perfectly good! Haven't played Soul Silver much, but it's a pretty cool entry/remake! (Plus come on, Lugia, that's all)

yes, the pixeld game design is such a love. and gen 4 has so many cool and a lot of my fav Pokemons! but there is a remake... grrr idk. maybe DS would be cooler and cheaper (after buying it second hand)
