I'm sorry, but pouring coffee, making a sandwich, or mopping a floor ISN'T skilled labor.
Skilled labor is a term that refers to a vocation that takes considerable time and training to achieve competency that the lowest-common-denominator off the street couldn't perform with an hour of instruction.
I'm currently in a deal with another company that is insisting we do something that will benefit neither party but "our execs really want to see this happen."
Everybody in the room knows its a waste at best, a potential liability at worst.
But their fear is palpable. So we're doing it anyway.
