BREAKING: The South Korean National Assembly could vote to revoke the martial law with a majority vote of its 300 lawmakers, and 190 lawmakers just voted to lift the martial law. Now the question is whether Yoon will actually lift it, as required by law.

"The South Korean military says it will maintain martial law until it is lifted by President Yoon Suk Yeol, despite the nation's parliament voting to block its enforcement, according to the country's national broadcaster."

This phenomenon works in groups too. It’s how cults rapidly build.
You can bet DJT is thinking about this.
Stay alert. We must resist.
So I would say that it has turned into a coup.
Seems like if they'd take that step, it's easy to see them going along with him enacting a coup.

The move drew immediate opposition from politicians, including the leader of his own conservative party, Han Dong-hoon, who called the decision “wrong” and vowed to “stop it with the people”.
That's insane.
And apparently the president did indeed not to lift it, but declared the vote of parliament invalid.
No surprise there as far as I'm concerned.
Since he already moved to oust the parliament he's not even going to consider anything that the parliament is now voting on.
I'm hoping for a quick and good (democratic, lawful) end to this crisis in South Korea!
Waiting with baited breath to see how this develops.
