I ended up rushing through the story missions cuz if I saw Chadley pop up to give me one more stupid doodad hunt I was gonna impale him on a tree like the Midgar Zolom
I like it better than the first game, but both are way too long for me. I've had to do both in chunks, returning every few months. 😅 Still making my way through Rebirth and it just keeps going and going.
I was locked in af with Remake, both literally and because of Covid 😆
I kinda miss the linearity of the first game for myself, but again, I think I just need to change my approach from trying to get everything done to just experiencing it. 🤔
Bro same. I was so hyped, constantly posting memes and countdowns....
Then I got the game, only made it through the beginning flashback segment and never touched it again 😭 Depression at the time got me so bad that I couldn't handle a big game.
It's not gonna be this year for me since I'm doing the pixel remaster set and that's 6 FF games 😅 I don't want to get burned out on the series. Aside from that, thinking of doing another BIG rpg and I'm between NieR Gestalt & P4G.
I'm going to finish it, but it is definitely bloated with way too many dumbass chores. Hoping part 3 reveals Chadley as a Hojo agent so we can finally kill that little shit and return his cyborg twink ass to the planet.
It's a tough game to get through. I was actually addicted to the combat on release so I platted it in a few weeks... But it was really the combat that carried me through the some bits. Still a top game for me but I felt like an addict at rock bottom by the end of the challenges.

I pre-ordered though for the deluxe edition and the free steelbook from Best Buy.
Double steelbook goodness
I knew the game switches to full open world in the original, but it's more an overworld, not collecting towers.
Mine were really low for Rebirth after Remake, but I’m enjoying it.
(I’m also resolved to drop any of the minigames the instant they’re not longer fun)

The Yuffie DLC for Remake was fun, short and linear, if you haven't tried that yet.

We should pick a day to start it again
oh no, I mentioned p4g to u
*runs*🏃🏻♀️
I think when I go back, I'm gonna tackle it and try to leave completionism at the door.
We will get to it eventually.
