Love finding skate and shark egg cases. Always have mixed feelings about cuttlefish bones - happy as it’s evidence they are around but so sad their short lives have ended. Cuttlefish are probably my favorite marine animal
Ah ha! But you are right! A cuttlebone isn’t a bone at all. It’s very light and helps the cuttlefish with buoyancy. A cuttlefish isn’t a fish and a cuttlefish bone isn’t a bone!
