I had a dr tell me to just destress as I was getting hives from stress. I asked if I was supposed to just quit my job and walk away from my family? She just blinked at me.
Quite a few here complaining about their stress and pointing out how they just have to continue exactly like they do. That literally equals to asking for a magic trick.
If so, you can ease your stress a little by stopping to talk about it.
It's actually not as stupid as it seems to say that. However it might seem clever to think that your stress will be relieved by others or with magic tricks where you continue with what stresses you but the stress disappears
At one of those staff development days, they brought in a “therapist” (friend of the boss) who taught us this innovative way to calm down called “box breathing” 🙄
The world as you knew it is crumbling around you and your food/shelter/medical care all depends on your job that you probably don't like but you should really destress because stress is bad for you ☺️....😭😭😭
I spent half of my vacations on medical exams and appointments and I'm one away from all being due to stress. The sole fact IS stressing, stress is just an infinite snowball. 😣

I think we collectively need to not be stressed about Trump being sworn into office. We need to breathe and support one another in this event of his victory. We must stick together in spite of his win and be the antithesis of making america great.

Love it when people do the ol' "have you tried exercising?" and "what do you have to be depressed about? You just need to change your attitude!" lines. These are very helpful tips that nobody else has thought of and not condescending at all.
When I was younger I passed out at work cause I was working too much to try and pay my bills. The ER said to slow down. The bill came and I had to take on more hours just to pay it off. 🤦🏻♂️
My doctor asked me if there's anything I could do to be less stressed, took everything in me to not laugh as hard I could directly in her face for 20 minutes
Not sure holding your breath will help, but deep breathing definitely reduces stress. As does taking a walk. As does doing rude and horrid things to your coworkers.
It's a good idea for most people to not post while holding their breath, and then they can resume posting when they're breathing again, but for you maybe hold off on the posting while holding your breath and after, too.
Stress comes from our surroundings. anxiety is one of the ways your body responds to stress. You can certainly reduce stress by changing various environmental factors in your life e.g job, relationship, commute etc. Reducing stress may reduce anxiety, but some might need additional interventions.
